You can access message reporting activity from the Messaging Overview section

Select Overview from the Messaging navigation to display your message sends. You can view by date range and message type using the filters.

Within the Overview section of your account there is a Status column where you can see the send state and the number of contacts sent to.

You will be able to view all your outgoing messages and they could have the following status.

Status	Description
Sent	Your SMS has been sent to the carrier (This is not mean delivered, see below)
Queued	Your SMS is scheduled to be sent at nominated date/time
Verification Required	Your SMS is pending approval
Verification Rejected	Your SMS is pending approval
Cancelled	You have previously cancelled this SMS
Sending	When you are sending your SMS campaign in segments

Sent vs Delivered

Please note, Sent means we have sent the message to the carrier for delivery. Handset Delivery Notifications (DLR) are available in the reporting screen for a campaign.

Detailed Reporting

For more detailed information regarding your message sent, click on the Report link for the message send you are interested in from the Activity view.

From here there are several tabs showing what has happened to all the individual contacts within the send.

DELIVERED

Your message has been successfully delivered to the recipient's handset.

PENDING

A pending message is one that we have received no confirmation from the carrier delivered or undelivered. These confirmations are known as delivery receipts.

If a message still has a pending status after an hour, the most common reason for pending messages are:

• Phone out of credit and cannot receive SMS.
• Phone number active but phone switched off or out of range.
• Active pre-paid account but SIM not in the phone.
• Network problems.

When a message is in pending status, several carrier dependent retry strategies come into operation.

If there is no response by the end of the retry period the message will become expired and will be marked as soft bounced.

What does a message with a pending status mean?

BOUNCED

Indicates the mobile handset has not received the messages. You can use the drop down menu to filter to display and export the contacts as needed.

You can also elect to delete all hard bounces. Please note that this does not suppress these contacts. If you import them again, they will be attempted to send.

Soft Bounce

The most common reasons are:

• SIM card is not in the phone
• Out of network range for more than 72 hours
• Have not paid phone bill
• Travelling overseas (connected to another network)

Hard Bounce

Indicates the number is invalid or disconnected. You can safely delete the number from your list.

RESPONSES

These are recipients that have sent replies to your message. Please note, keywords and opt out responses are not displayed here.

OPT-OUT

These recipients have opted out of receiving further communication, and have been automatically removed from your contact list.
